Talent For Cons is pleased to announce that James Mathis III will be appearing at SC Comicon (sccomicon.com) for their 2018 convention.

SC Comicon will take place March 24 and 25 at the TD Convention Center in Greenville, SC.

James Mathis III is a Brooklyn, New York native, and a graduate of the USC School of Cinematic Arts. For the past 8 years, he has been the most recognized voice of Black Panther across a variety of platforms. As T’Challa, his voice can be heard in animation, interactive games and live shows including “Marvel Universe Live” and “The Marvel Experience.” James is currently voicing the Black Panther in Marvel’s Avengers: Secret Wars and will continue the role in Marvel’s Avengers: Black Panther’s Quest.

James co-hosted the launch of USC’s Trojan Vision (the school’s first TV network), worked off-Broadway alongside Kim Coles, coordinated and wrote on-air promos for Fox’s FX Networks, modeled, appeared in music videos and guest starred on esteemed networks including NBC, CBS, and Lifetime.  You may have heard him in national commercial campaigns such as McDonalds, Coors Light, Cadillac, Benjamin Moore or maybe as a promo announcer for PAC-12 Networks, ESPN, FOX, Tennis Channel, E!, BET, and Paramount.

In 2005, he earned a recurring role on the critically acclaimed series Noah’s Arc and went on to star in the VH1 series, I Hate My 30’s. It was during his on-camera stint, that he launched a career in voice-overs with Urban Entertainment on several of their animated series and features including Undercover Brother and The Golden Blaze.

In 2015, James was nominated for Best Supporting Actor by BTVA for his role in Hulk Agents of S.M.A.S.H and in 2017, he took home Best Supporting Actor at the Houston Comedy Film Festival for the award-winning short film, “Imaginary Friends.”

His video game credits include Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, Far Cry 5, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Mafia 3, Tom Clancy’s The Division, Lego Marvel’s Avengers and the voice of Sigint in the Metal Gear Solid Series.  Other notable animation credits include Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Ben 10, WordGirl, Celebrity Deathmatch, and Ironman: Rise of Technovore.

Some might consider him a veteran, but James is really just getting started. In 2016, he co-created the animated series, “Chocolate Chips” which promptly sold to Film Roman. He has made Los Angeles his home, and seizes opportunities in diverse genres to nurture his talent and take him to new heights.
